Cites The Bromley Genealogy: Being a Record of the Desc of Luke Bromley (#298 Ann Eliza Bromley b 2.27.1823 d 4.11.1901 in Aberdeen SD m George Whipple, James Skeels and Liberty Prentice, the latter two of Clinton NY, two children A. E. and Orrin B. Whipple; US Census; Find a Grave. "Amanto Whipple's name seems to change in spelling from census to census and does at one point appear with a z in it but he is buried under Amanton E. Whipple. He went first to Wisconsin and then to SD in 1883. It would appear that George also had a brother same name."

!SOURCE: Email from N. Combs to Weldon Whipple, 13 Apr 2017, who writes: I noticed an update to Anton D. L. Whipple that some researchers think he might be George Whipple {23774}. Online I found a copy of a Massachusetts death certificate for Orin B. Whipple {23782} with the following information: b. Jan. 26, 1851 in Chateaugay, Franklin, NY; d. Feb. 6, 1913 in Millbury, Worcester, MA; parents George Whipple {23774} b. NY and Anna E. Bramley {23786} b. NY; informant Mary F. Moore {23801}. Orin's birth date as given in the death certificate is the same as for Orin Benjamin Bromley Whipple {Note the middle name of Benjamin Bromley, Ann/Anna's father's name}, while the date of death on the certificate differs from that in the WGW. From this info I would agree with your other researchers that these two men, their spouses, as well as children are the same and should be merged. Further "evidence" is the 1850 Census for Chateaugay, Franklin, NY p.128A: Whipple, Anne E. 26, George 28 and Amanton (Amanzo E.) 4.
